Oh Lucy, that sounds awful {hug} though Helen thought you looked great :? Maybe you can send her a photo of NewYou to stand next to her wedding photos.

I've weighed myself this morning and have lost 5lb. They were the early, easy ones and I'm still above the pre-Chrimbo weight - but then ours started around 1st December! I'm happy with that and it's a good start. Trying to focus on that side of the equation rather than the 85lbs left to go. 5lbs = 5.6% of target. Any progress is good progress. Has anyone read Pollyanna?!

Went for my weigh-in this morning, 2lbs off this week :-D
I wasn't expecting to lose any this week as I've been poorly and eating rubbish but obviously not been as naughty as I thought.

On one of my many previous diets, we were supposed to lose 5% of our body weight, then consider how much effort it had been and see whether we thought we could do it again. Then do it again. That was quite motivating, and I think we did more two goes. For me this time I've changed the calcs so last week I lost 5.5% target loss, and every 1lb I lose this time is another 1.19% of my target loss.

Your 14.2% is of your target weight and it's a fair old chunk. Could you do it again? If it's any help, every 1lb will be another 1.8%!

Maybe(?!) I'm weird. I found this approach helps

Not weird, little things like that are extremely motivational! Thanks again for the number crunching, it certainly does help! Well done on your huge chunk as well - looks like we're on fire this year! It's taken me long enough!
