Please wish me luck!

Post by Batfink »

First of all, sorry I've not been here for the last week or so. I've had shingles in my eye which has been bluddy painful and meant I couldn't really see {cry}

Anyway, on Thursday I'm going for my 3rd lot of de-nervation on my right sacroiliac joint. I have Ankylosing Spondolitis. Hopefully this will mean a lot less pain meds for me and I'll be able to come off the morphine, which, naturally gets in the way of a normal life (although it's goooooood! {rofwl} )

The only part I hate is having to be awake when it's done, I get sedated but I don't think they give me enough as my tolerance to dr-ugs is very high :shock: :shock:

Rambling on here, but needed to put it down somewhere. I'll be about a lot more from Thursday, 2 weeks off work and I'll be annoying you all!

I don't know what de-nervation involves but it sounds very scary and painful so I'll be keeping everything crossed for you {hug} At least you've had it done before so know what to expect from the treatment and also how beneficial it has been )t'

I've recently had shingles too and it was very painful and has taken longer than I thought to start feeling normal again. Shingles in your eye? Ouch!!!

Ouch...that reallys sounds painful. What with that and your eye. You really are going through it.
Hopefully once it is done, you will be on the mend.

Know what you mean about getting used to strong pain meds.
Tramadol or Codeine sulphate gets a kicking now and again...
