OW...Don't drink and ride.

Post by saint-spoon »

warning... picture contains blood...mine.

SS finds out why riding ones bicycle after a couple of pints isn't a good idea.

A white van came whizzing at me forcing me to hit the breaks....unfortunately I did so with too much gusto.

I ran into work this morning as there is a meat and spirit raffle in the bar at lunchtime.....

I try to avoid lessons if I can (except the ones where I'm the one doing the teaching); lessons have the annoying habit of detracting from future adventure and frivolity. As for the scabs, knees like elbows seem to get abraded at every available opportunity so extra caution and vigilance is requisite throughout the healing process. On the other hand they tend to itch and the very act of diminishing said itch to a comfortable level causes scab removal. I have therefore decided to anoint the affected areas with proprietary antiseptic/soothing balm and shear my fingernails back as far as is comfy.

Getting to the point where the scabs are rubbing off around the edges which must be a good sign. Have resisted the urge to have a good old pick so far. Have also taken to running the two miles or so into work if I know that I’m going to have any beer. Ran in yesterday as it happens, had a farewell luncheon for a chum who is off to join HMS Illustrious soon. Garlic mushrooms followed by rare fillet steaks with peppercorn sauce and choccy gat-ox for pud. Drank about a squillion units and staggered home. White van trouble avoided. $cf$
