My Mum suffered a lot from them,what she used was a bit of cottonwool soaked in TCP and hold it over the area as long as you can suffer the taste,it seemed to work for her.

The raw garlic might at least stop people from wanting to kiss you, and prevent the start of a mouth ulcer pandemic :-D

I do the salt thing too, it really does work )t'
Izzy suffers with them badly due to her braces but she's too chicken to do the salt thing )grin2(

Frador Tincture is a good product that really worked, but it hurts like hell and is really hard to find any more

Helen, you can carry on kissing, the NHS site says:

"In most cases, mouth ulcers are not caused by an infection. This means they cannot be passed from person to person. For example, in most cases it is not possible to get a mouth ulcer from kissing someone who has a mouth ulcer, or by sharing drinking glasses or cutlery with them."

Lots more info on causes here: http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Mouth-ulcer/Pages/Causes.aspx

[quote="Lillia"]Hydrogen peroxide. Gargle with it and they will start healing right away...use about 3-4 times a day after you brush. Honestly, it is the best thing to use. I know A$DA sells it, but you want as full strength as you can get. Ask the pharmacist. Also salt-water helps ...a bit of salt mixed in warm water.
>mmm< I hope you feel better soon {hug}[/quote

Sorry, but this is not a good idea.
Hydogen Peroxide is an oxidiser, so unless you know what you are doing, don't.

It will get rid of your ulcers
Also, it could get rid of your head. {warn}

Go to the Doctor, confirm that they are ulcers and why? :-D

the bestest way to get rid of them Helen is to put 2 or 3 large slugs in your mouth, keep sucking on the slugs for about an hour or so, the ulcers will just disappear and never ever come back )t' , try it, it really does work )t'

This old Cornish remedy, you haven't mentioned should they be live or dead slugs.

Well, the salt worked! Good job the slugs weren't eating them at the time or the salt would have dissolved them.
