A long time ago when I was prescribed the steroid Becotide, it really irritated the back of my throat. I switched to Budesonide (Pulmicort) and it's a 'turbohaler' which doesn't give me the same sore throat. I found this really interesting Bev, as I use Becotide and have had a prickly slightly sore throat for some time. A visit to a consultant who put a camera down the throat showed nothing wrong, but I was told that it is probably years of using inhalers. It has never been suggested that I use something else and I knew of nothing else to suggest it myself. We learn all the time from on here. I am now a widow and live with my memories.
