We have just started this. I'm not a believer in Diets as such but last year I never managed to get back to a healthy eating pattern and loose weight so I decided to give it a go. And Hubby has decided to do it too. It will be so much easier together.
It has been a fast day today but I don't feel too bad at all.
I really like the idea of not having to worry the rest of the week.

I just noticed a book on the free kindle books list that might interest some of you - 'the beginners guide to intermittent fasting - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007DQ378G?tag=kiq-free-e-21
"Happiness is like a butterfly; the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder..." Thoreau.

I have lost another 1lb this week.
Although not the quick loss I have had with other 'diets', it seems that any weight I have lost
It has gone from the fat around my midriff and tummy, the legacy of child bearing. Which is great as it is that I would like rid of.
We are going on holiday next Friday and aim to keep to the 5 -2 days. I will put weight on, but hopefully not too much

I am organised and back on track and really enjoying it still. A pound a week without fail and with hardly any real angst.

I can't wait to see how much better I look once I can get to the gym as well :-D

Well, 25lbs total and I am back in Onederland at last! Whoda thunk it?

Still not back exercising, my left hip just isn't giving and is making my back a total misery. But I am more active, just not pushing it.

Hopefully I'll get started again this month, or at least when the temperature warms up a bit!

Slow and steady, and slightly wobbly. It works for me :-D

Good luck to anyone else still IFing.

How fantastic, 25lbs. I am sure you are so pleased with yourself.
I have given up and gone back to WW, as it just wasn't working but I only have about 5lb to lose. OH has really done well though. I suppose it is like anything the last few lbs are always difficult.
Do you need to lose more or are you happy with what you have done. ?

Thanks :-D

Ideally I would like to lose another 25lbs, realistically another 14lbs would be great, I'd happily live at that!

I am hoping that this year will see me down to that weight and back into regular exercise habits. That is my goal and I will be working slowly and steadily towards the exercise!

I really miss being active. I can hardly believe I used to earn a living as an aerobics instructor teaching 12 - 15 classes a week. I can barely do 12 minutes now

Mrs Fab and I are still with it. Just part of our life style now. Weight has stabilised but the great thing is that you don't count any calories on non fast days, just eat what you fancy really.

I'm re-starting tomorrow, I was stopped by the usual 'it's cold' pain in my left leg and a feeling that I would 'fail' it if I tried to carry on!

On a better note I didn't gain a thing in the 2is months I was off it and have bought a top 1 size down this morning!

All looking good here for getting to my next target over the next 4 months ( another stone).

Exercise starts again - leg allowing, I am a bit hobbly today. I may even go to my GP and ask for some advice! Though I think it is just sciatica style ouchiness, my piriformis is incredibly tight again, my sartorious is aflame and the outside of my ankle is throbbing!

Hopefully a chiro and more exercise will do it!

Yes we are still sticking to it. On average a kilo down each week )t'
As you say this is an easy regime to stick to although everyone can adapt it to suit. I find that I need a small meal at lunch, salad or soup to prevent afternoon headaches. But hubby is eating less then.
The bigger benefits are that we have a stock of homemade ready meals in the freezer and I have two days when I don't even have to think about meal planning. And the rest of the time is guilt free but you just naturally adapt to smaller portions.
And we are saving loads on the shopping - no expensive special diet food to buy.

And I am 1.5 down with one more DD to go before my official weigh in day :-D 7

No exercise, but I will make a GP appt and see what he suggests! I am hoping the solution has become much more efficient since I was smirked at by a consultant - apparently I was getting symptoms because I was overweight - no, really?

He also dismissed the idea that I was in pain because I was born without a left hip.... no, I was just fat! I have DIYd it ever since (30 years, OMG!!!!)

So fingers crossed.

I have been reading up on this after months and months of pretending to do SW but not really doing anything other than pile on the weight! I actually feel motivated and excited about starting - Monday will be my first fast day. Look forward to seeing how you are all doing )t'

Works really well for some people, so you have nothing to lose, other than the weight )t'

When you see results llike this you know it makes sense.

Mr Homemade with a friend - The collie dog weighs what he has lost since starting the fasting diet in February, 20 kg or about 3 stone.
