Man flu!

Post by Mallard »

Started on Sunday with a sore throat;I feel like I've had a kicking. }hairout{ Mistake No. 1 was going to the plot this morning, but I had paperwork!
I know I'm ill because I've lost my appetite, but I have a good supply of medicine. )hic(
If my dear wife had still been here I'd definitely have had no sympathy.
She was an SRN when Hattie Jacques was matron! {warn}

Just looking for a bit of sympathy and folk remedies. >stir<

A spoonful of lemon, a spoonful of honey mixed into a tumbler full of warmed brandy. Repeat as often as neccessary.
May have no medicinal affect only acting as a placebo but after a few you won't be worrying about the symptoms )t'

Go to bed with a jug of water, a plate of toast dripping in butter, a hot chocolate and a large double of something strong to help you sleep.

My favorite remedy, too, though I go for the whiskey version. The good night's sleep it gives you is just what you need, to heal.

Hope you feel better soon!

Mallard, I am not one to steal the limelight from a sick man, but I too am feeling unwell and off my food but have no idea why really. Anyway look after yourself and no going out in the cold until you feel better.

Another vote for the hot toddy here, whisky is my preferred version.

I'm not aching and shivering this morning so I'll take a trip to son of Morris for some fruit and juice. They're only a stone's throw away. >veg4<
