Very perplexed

Post by albertajune »

Yesterday I received a short letter with a form attached from the clinic that is dealing with my back pain. It was asking me if I still wanted to be on the list to have treatment for my sacroiliac joint.
I did have injections in the joint in March and 5 weeks later had a phone call from a nurse as the usual follow up after a procedure. In the past I have always had to go back to see the doctor. I said that I still had some pain but the excruciating pain had gone and as I also have spinal arthritis didn't know the source of the pain still being felt. I was then given an appointment at the pain clinic in July which was changed to 9th Oct.
What I am on the day surgery waiting list for I have no idea as no one has suggested any more to be done or is it my last procedure not been taken off the records.
I have phoned the hospital who have advised to tick keep the appointment and put a footnote that I want to see the specialist first before having anything done. She may have put me forward for this and no one has let me know. I of course won't have anything done until I know what it is and what the procedure involves. It might be to do with destroying the nerve if it is a follow up from the injections. So confused as to what is going on!!!
I am now a widow and live with my memories.

Yes it does sound confusing doesn't it.
I would go along any way and get someone to explain what it is all about.
You can always say no.
