Sh**ty week.

Post by Orfy »

Nothing compared to some people.

I was incapacitated with a back problem which is still debilitating, I've had a cold to add to the misery then to cap it all I think I have a bout of food poisoning. My appetite is off so my energy is down.
I'm of work on a weeks holiday and can't(don't have the energy or capability) to do anything.

My prescription.

Bed mixed with stroking the dogs, watching the chickens, 3 series of Star trek voyager back to back.
I'm also on Lucozade, nuts and chocolate biscuits until my appetite and energy returns.

Lick I say nothing compared to lots of people but you know us men. We need to complain about it.

Poor bunny.

I hope you feel better for the weekend, look after yourself and a bit of self pamper required.
Free hens are happy hens. Chicken centreparcs now complete! The girls love it.

Oooo sorry to hear this.
I know how stoic you men are as well. But your medicine sounds just about right to get you back on your feet again. Don't forget to get the wife to loosen the cap on the lucozade and open the biscuit packet

Poor you. Medication sounds about right, do you need something stronger to help you sleep?

Dog stroking and chicken watching should be very soothing and Star Trek should make you forget the pain.

Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the Symapthy all. I have a x-ray appointment today for my back. At least the cold and food poisoning are short term.

Bollybarb thanks for the offer. I have most of the episodes already. The wife is a big Fan.

I'm up going to watch the last of season 4 Voyager this morning.

Season 4, Episode 24 – Aired: 5/6/1998
Demon
Voyager lands on Demon-class planet in order to mine for deuterium to replenish the ship's dangerously low supply.

Season 4, Episode 25 – Aired: 5/13/1998
One
Seven must deal with almost complete solitude when the crew must go into protective stasis for a month in order to cross a dangerous nebula.

Season 4, Episode 26 – Aired: 5/20/1998
Hope And Fear
A mysterious alien with a knack for languages is able to repair a damaged message from Starfleet. The crew is elated when the message reveals that a new ship is waiting for them, that has the ability to bring them home in three months. However, Janeway suspects that this turn of luck is too good to be true.

Good luck with the X-ray. Hopefully it is something they can clear up fairly quickly.
My sister ended up having to have an operation on hers, but fortunately it has been a complete success.
Star Trek....whats that confused>

So sorry to hear that you're having a c**p time. Back pain is awful, I'm suffering myself at the moment.
Just keep resting and I'm sure your wife will carry on pampering you and bringing you fresh supplies of lucozade and biscuits - after all, that's what wives are for )j;

You men are SO brave. I don't know how you cope. Us women just don't understand how much you suffer. Just be thankful you haven't got manflu. In fact, I'd stay in bed for an extra few days if i were you, just in case your cold develops into manflu

Hope you feel better soon

I've a had a few tries at eating and drinking and it "failed" but today I had a Sunday lunch, a few pints walked a couple of miles and did some weeding on the allotment and only had 2 pain killers.
So in conclusion I think I'm a lot better.

Good job because I'm due back in work in the morning.
