I found this on Mudcat

I went down to Grandfather's hall.
There I heard an old man call.
His beard was flesh; his mouth was horn;
And such a creature was never born.

Just realised I never put the answer up.
It's the same as the answer to this one -

"He was neither Noah nor Noah's son,
but was with Noah in the Ark.
His robe was neither silk nor wool.
His beard and hair they both were flesh.
Never married, he had many wives.
And a short sermon once he preached
that made a man go out and weep."

Well, he should fit in well on another section of this forum.

A cockeral perhaps? (if the clue is "another section of the forum" is anything to go by)

Ah yes. My next hint was going to point to the 'sermon' in the riddle being remembered this year on Thursday April 2nd.
