Knitting - winter's on the wayRe: Knitting - winter's on the wayThey aren't really that fiddly, but I like faffing about with them! I am hoping to get some more done and then send them all off to the charity and hopefully raise a few bob with them
Re: Knitting - winter's on the wayAnd here is another one I made earlier - it's Iggle Piggle (from The Night Garden) I adapted the pattern I had been using and it's come out pretty similar to the TV character
Re: Knitting - winter's on the wayAwww...that is sweet Kate.
I am waiting for my patterns to arrive - shouldn't have bought them really but I am looking on them as a special treat. Helen xx

Re: Knitting - winter's on the wayHi everyone,
I'm a newbie to DTL and was pleased to find a knitting forum on here I started knitting about a year ago and am currently making my first jumper in Rowan's Felted Tweed. I've almost completed the back. It's nice to see other knitters projects on here too Re: Knitting - winter's on the wayWell, my patterns arrived today
So thisafternoon went to the charity shop as they are having a half price sale and bought 4 pairs of knitting needles for 10p per pair. They didn't have any scraps of double knitting wool though only mohair. I was quite disappointed as was hoping to get a few colours to start me off. Helen xx

Helen - have you got a Range store near you? They have a fab variety of colours in 100g double knitting for only 99p a ball. You may have to ask where the wool is though as I had been in our shop loads of time and didn't even know they sold it. (It's twice the price at Hobbycr@ft) Re: Knitting - winter's on the wayAnother project finished - a cardi/shrug for my neice who is 9 this week, now I just hope that it fits her
Re: Knitting - winter's on the wayKate, that jacket is beautiful

Iggle Piggle is really easy to do, took me about 4 hours I guess. The pattern was adapted from a Jean Greenhowe one (rainbow people) but maybe you should try to finish the scarf first http://www.jeangreenhowe.com/patterns.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Re: Knitting - winter's on the wayThat is lovely Kate, Well done.
It is always great to see the finished product isn't it Wendy http://www.busheyk9.co.uk
If you can't be a good example........ you will just have to be a horrible warning Re: Knitting - winter's on the wayIf it fits I will take a photo of her in it
Re: Knitting - winter's on the wayA big thank you for the patterns - but I really shouldn't start any more projects.
