They aren't really that fiddly, but I like faffing about with them! I am hoping to get some more done and then send them all off to the charity and hopefully raise a few bob with them )t'

And here is another one I made earlier - it's Iggle Piggle (from The Night Garden) I adapted the pattern I had been using and it's come out pretty similar to the TV character )t'

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie to DTL and was pleased to find a knitting forum on here :-D I started knitting about a year ago and am currently making my first jumper in Rowan's Felted Tweed. I've almost completed the back.

It's nice to see other knitters projects on here too :-D

Well, my patterns arrived today )c(

So thisafternoon went to the charity shop as they are having a half price sale and bought 4 pairs of knitting needles for 10p per pair. )c( )c(

They didn't have any scraps of double knitting wool though only mohair. I was quite disappointed as was hoping to get a few colours to start me off.

Hi Michelle - fellow knitwit! I am a bit obsessed with it at the moment :?

Helen - have you got a Range store near you? They have a fab variety of colours in 100g double knitting for only 99p a ball. You may have to ask where the wool is though as I had been in our shop loads of time and didn't even know they sold it. (It's twice the price at Hobbycr@ft)

Yes Kate - that is fab. I got some more needles the other day but haven't started yet. We have a wilkos near here which does wool in very basic colours.

Thank you for the kind words... :-D
Iggle Piggle is really easy to do, took me about 4 hours I guess. The pattern was adapted from a Jean Greenhowe one (rainbow people) but maybe you should try to finish the scarf first {rofwl} http://www.jeangreenhowe.com/patterns.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
