Stripey bag

Post by Meanqueen »

I've made another bag. It started out as three judo belts I bought from a charity shop for 30p each. It's 14 inches across and 12 inches high, the stripes were sewn together with a zigzag stitch on the machine, and the rest is hand sewn. Could be used for a work bag, or college, or a small amount of shopping, or a day out bag.

Looks good and strong -was it very hard to sew as I used to do karate and I know how thick those belts are?

Helen, the machine went through it ok I just butted two stripes together as I was sewing it. The hand sewing was hard, I used string for that, I had to pull the needle through with pliers.

Ilona do you sell your bags? You seem to be quite a prolific 'bag lady' in the nicest possible way :-D

I haven't sold any yet, Kate, but if I get overrun with them I might be tempted. :-D
