In 1999 I was encased in a steel corset due to a back injury. Having very little to do one of my friends who make models out of matchsticks showed me how he make them so I thought I’d have a go and here are some of the things I made.

The bike took about four months to make and is made up of about 37,000 matches.

The Greek temple clock took ages to build. There are four columns and each one has 500 matches in it and took about 10 hours each to complete and sand into spirals. The clock has a Westminster chime.

Musical box. The lid opens and has a small jewellery compartment. The music play is ‘The Entertainer’.

Wow!!!! you have a very unique talent....my Grandfather made beautiful model ships out of matchsticks so I appreciate the time and patience involved.. )t'....

Time and patience is a factor. The dolphin for instance took me through about 40 bars of soap as I would break things off etc etc. But don’t worry, all the shaving were collected and squeezed together into a soap ball for washing with. As for the Rolling Stones, DON'T ASK.
