Bill Wyman (Rolling Stones) has written the very popular and acclaimed book on the subject. Type 'Bill Wyman Treasue Islands' into the Amazon Box at the bottom of Forum.

If a tad expensive, just do metal detecting )t'

I had a Detector for a while, but having a short concentration level, didn't get on with it - kept on finding old bits of car!!

A good friend of mine has made a real hobby of it, he's found loads of interesting
stuff & made a few £ too. I'm hoping to have a go soon with my late dad's
detector, just waiting for a local crop field to be cut & plowed, there's lots of
medieval history in the area. My detector is a Bounty Hunter, it was a very good
one bought preowned & refurbished for half the price.

Ilona, you of all people should know the rules about phone numbers and commercial links !!!

I've fixed the pm problem, lots seem to have had that lately.

Nice to see you here and hope you're enjoying all your little holidays.

Yes I should know the rules. I go on a lot of different forums and get a bit muddled. Sorry I didn't mean to promote his site, it's just that he has all the knowledge and will answer any questions, he won't pressure to buy.
