Babies shawl

Post by wendy »

Hi Folks.
My friend Ann, who is totally blind. Has knitted this shawl for our Great Grandson when he arrives

I have also knitted these two little jackets. They don't seem to put babies in knitted things now, do they ?

Aw Wendy they are all fantastic, I love the ickle cardies (in a very manly type of a way you understand). Both of our girls wore knitted stuff made by my Mum, but it isn’t that common these days. Not sure if it is folk not knitting much or modern parents not thinking it fashionable enough. We love the Knitted bits my Mum made them.

Really lovely Wendy. The shawl is beautiful; your friend if very talented. I love to see the knitted jackets on babies.
Most mums dress their babes in replicas of grown up clothes, which I hate. Babies should look like babies, pretty and cuddly. Not in baby jeans, trainers and baseball caps.
Bye the way the green colour is very pretty.
I am now a widow and live with my memories.

They are gorgeous. I think babies always look nicer in hand knitted cardi's than bought ones. I too hate it when mums dress their babes in Older styles, jeans etc. Especially hate to see belts on babies, how uncomfortable must they be :?
