Been busy with the crochet hook

Post by julie62 »

Just finished a ripple blanket - it's not that big - more a picnic blanket than for the bed - made with lots of bright cotton aran yarn - been showing it the chickens today ....

Don't think they were very impressed though!

It's beautiful! I keep seeing ripple blankets everywhere at the moment, and I shall have to make one soon. I like the idea of being able to crochet over all the ends (having just finished sewing in all the ends on dd's hexagon blanket, which probably took nearly as long as the blanket itself!)

Anyone out there who likes to crochet - have you come across the Attic24 blog site? It's a woman from Yorkshire who crochets a lot and there's some lovely free patterns on the site for blankets, flowers and stuff. Worth having a look if you like that type of stuff - I've made a few things inspired by her stuff. )t'

It was her stuff that got me into crochet - I never mastered it when I was younger and just used to knit but now I crochet all the time too. I'm making a merino wool scarf from all different flower squares at the moment and I cant wait to finish it - but lots of ends to sew in ..... }hairout{
