Liquid cellophane craft

When I was little I was given a craft set for making flowers out of wire you shaped into petal / leaf shapes and dipped into a coloured, clear liquid. It formed a film spanning the shape you dipped into it. This would harden and form a cellophane like film..
I cant find anything similar now, any ideas???

I know exactly what you're talking about. We used to make them in school at our social center. I wish that I could find out too. Love that stuff what ever it is. Back in the early 70's I believe it was.
