Attention all knitters except Penn (she's a nutter)
Attention all knitters except Penn (she's a nutter)I bet that you didn't realise that you were mathematical geniuses, social changers and artists all at the same time did you?
nice article Bah Humbug
Re: Attention all knitters (no not nutters)Dunno about that I just enjoy doing it.
When I was younger I used to work out fairisle for the childrens jumpers or do scenes, motorbikes or dogs ect. But those days are gone. I now prefer to knit intricate patterns designed by someone else. http://www.busheyk9.co.uk
If you can't be a good example........ you will just have to be a horrible warning
Re: Attention all knitters (no not nutters)We knew, you didn't
Thanks for the link - I made a hyperbolic crochet 'thing' ('thing' is the highly technical mathematical genius name for it, clearly) for my nephew when he was born. He's too little yet for us to tell if he is a mathematical genius, but if he is, then I will gladly take the credit for sparking an early interest in the subject "Happiness is like a butterfly; the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder..." Thoreau.
Re: Attention all knitters (no not nutters)Related, but only sort of. I remember reading an article about the mathematical ability evident in early patchwork and quilting designs, made, in many cases, by 'uneducated' women.

Re: Attention all knitters (no not nutters)I never doubted for a minute that we were all brilliant.
