Dunno about that I just enjoy doing it. )t'
When I was younger I used to work out fairisle for the childrens jumpers or do scenes, motorbikes or dogs ect. But those days are gone.
I now prefer to knit intricate patterns designed by someone else. )grin2(

Thanks for the link - I made a hyperbolic crochet 'thing' ('thing' is the highly technical mathematical genius name for it, clearly) for my nephew when he was born. He's too little yet for us to tell if he is a mathematical genius, but if he is, then I will gladly take the credit for sparking an early interest in the subject )t'

Related, but only sort of. I remember reading an article about the mathematical ability evident in early patchwork and quilting designs, made, in many cases, by 'uneducated' women.

i was rubbish at Maths but my teacher said I'd get it eventually, maybe he knew I'd turn out to be a knitter )t'
