Summer crochet project

Post by julie62 »

I've been crocheting a double bedspread throughout the summer and it's finally finished. All the ends sewn in today and I couldn't wait to take some photos. They're not the best - I like to photo things outside but it's too swamplike at the moment.

Its basically a couple of different patterns of flower squares in the middle section with a border around and then another border of flowers in a different pattern with another border and edging around that. Originally it was just going to be flowers on white but I cant resist using loads of colour. It's mainly done in bamboo yarn with a bit of cotton thrown in too depending on what I had in my stash. Hope you like it ... its kept me busy all summer!

Wow what patience you have. Such lovely bright colours for dark winter days and as for Molly! In the pic, she looks so at home on it and looks as if she is saying "Hee hee ,go away, it's mine"
It really was worth the effort )t' A beautiful blanket and beautiful Molly.
