It has been reported that Harley-Davidson bikes were originally designed by Davidson in Littleport, Cambridgeshire, but because the then Government refused to help him launch his design, he took it to America, where he then met Harley, and it went from there.

In Littleport, there is a Monument of a Harley-Davidson that next time I am passing it, (Just a few miles away) I will endeavour to get a photo and post on here with pleasure.
