Easy Christmas presents to make.

Sorry Richard for bringing up the C word but think circumstances are going to mean I will have to make most of my presents and would like to make a start now while I have time.

Looking for ideas for pressies to make for my neighbour, her husband and 5 girls who apart from two youngest are in their 20`s. The two youngest are 14, and 6/7 yrs.

Any ideas more than welcome.

Oh Mrs Boodles, I really can't even think about Christmas now. I feel very hot and so sticky, that everything I lean on sticks to my arm.
It is seriously difficult to give ideas for strangers, so give us a little info about them as to their likes and interests.

Ooh how exciting, I too am making presents I have warned them all, circumstances have changed and whilst I can still buy pressies, I am making them all, so far have cherries in the freezer for Jam with pretty lids, will make chutney, shortbread, sweets, and a patchwork cushion and bunting, and of course a stuffed chicken and pin cushions, a little bag for grandaughter and manly phone and kindle cases for grandsons, dried herbs in little jars from the garden, and may splash out on some )hic(
Am on the look out for the odd miniature bottles of Brandy or the like at good prices now and will hide them {rofwl} {rofwl}

Ooh got a bit carried away!!

Look out for the gardening stuff reduced once the season ends, have made some lovely little hessian bags that will fit a few reduced labels, seeds etc in

You are all now making me feel guilty that I am not even thinking of making. However, it is now August and time does fly. Must think what I can make and start to gather all that is needed around me and then get cracking. After I finish decorating that is. )t'

Wow, you are organised! I dread the thought of Christmas pressies.

However, though not made for Christmas, I have completed six winter jumpers for my new great grandson, whose toys and equipment threaten to crowd his parents out of their tiny flat.

Last year I bought a wisteria for youngest son and partner. Also socks all round for the family.

Slightly different, but we bought bedding plants for dil's birthday pressie last month. So what about planting hyacinths and buying an Amaryllis bulb as pressies?

Oh and OH and I bought ourselves a new car tyre last year!!

I have every intention of making this year, like every year, then i end up buying stuff. I really want to though. i think im going to embroider some hankies for my granddad he's in a home with dementia, he used to always like a hanky.

I would like to knit some gloves etc.. but i cant knit despite my best intentions - i might join a knitting group?

I find sometimes like for example, if i decide to make christmas cakes sometimes the cost of the ingredients costs a fortune xx

ill be watching this thread with great anticipation xx
