Down the Lane

Ali's been working flat out to make a quilt for our eldest to take with her to Uni. Our eldest is off tomorrow and Ali managed to finish it this afternoon.
She's now having a lie down with a large glas of wine to recover from her efforts.
I think it's turned out alright

Bearing in mind I'm a bloke, it is made from several different patterns of material cut into little pieces. These are then arranged into patterns and sewn together into square blocks which in turn are then sewn together to make the quilt top.
Then a wadding and a backing piece are tacked to the back of the front and they are quilted together and binding sewn around the edges to seal them.
I think that is how it's done but I've probably not explained it very well or even correctly
