New Adventures

Six months work at Cricket has now gone and in about six weeks my son is moving to Southampton.
That basically means no more mixing like I have. If ever I go down town I park at my son's and go in to say hello, have a chat and often drive him and his girlfriend back to work.

No violins, but I have no actual friends in the sense of people I see face to face, so I'm frantically and somewhat scaringly trying to find new things.

Thus far......

1. A Season Ticket to watch Ashford United FC (ave. 300 crowd every week)

2. A Yearly Pass to Lympe Park and Howletts, Lympe Park being only 9 miles away.
I went there with Leo last week and totally enjoyed seeing all the Animals in large open areas and the work they do for species protection. The Cafe's are decently priced as well !

3. I brought a more decent Camera with a 60 zoom to potter around with

4. The Club gave me a Life Membership so I can go to watch, but would find it hard to sit still for more than 2 Overs !!

I have the Web Site as my ;'work' still, but need something else to get me out but not something which is the at a certain time on a certain day of the week sort of thing. More something I can say "I think I'll go and do that today".

At least I can soon see both my son and daughter at the same time which is very rare, so that will be a positive.

But have to say, I'm a bit aware of things. If I've been out, or to Belgium, someone's always come along with me.

I guess that being the finely tuned Athlete I am I could find other things, I know many of you have great hobbies, not necessarily things I could do.

I'll pass my time somehow; free Bus Pass, free Rail Pass and free Cricket, maybe I'm not satisfied with what I have !!

Well. as far as I can suggest, it's a toss up between skydiving and crochet +f+

Ideal knocking a ball around the lawn with a mallet sounds like just the sort of gentle exercise you need )t'

What about trampolining or training to be a tattoo artist?

How about buying a campervan and set off on a tour of DTL members ... you could do odd jobs for us along the way, that should keep you busy and you'd never be short of company. :-D
