Have you taken your bunting/flag down yet?

There's a load of flags flying on an estate that I pass on my way to a friends house. I don't recognise it but it's different from most.

Large cross of St George with a union flag in the top right hand corner. In the middle there's a kind of star shape in white with a crown above. In the centre of the star (that looks like police symbol somehow) there is a red hand shape.

Any ideas? Is it football related or some sort of protest!

Apart from the Union flag in the corner it sounds like the flag used as the flag of Ulster by the Unionists in N Ireland.
It has never been officially recognised and I suppose they could have added the Union Flag in the corner since it was last used in Ulster.
