Does anyone know how to put the little l l l l stiches into a treble stich border please? I think it is a dc in the treble space, then some chains (how many?) but also, what about the next round of trebles? They are sort of inverted I think, so how do you do that?

Helllllllllp!

PS, if you dont crochet, this will sound really complicated, and it wont be, honest, so dont be put off!!

Sorry Kate, not like that. You know a normal treble border? Well, between the rows, in a contrast colour, there is a row of little vertical stitches like this l l l l

I don't know if you follow patchwork heart, but she does it. Can't find a tutorial for it though.

Answers from 2 friends (both very experienced crocheters so >fi< ....)

Well Kate - to me it looks like -
1st Row -Coloured Row -
Double crochet,then make 3 chains,miss 3 stitches,double crochet in next stitch,3chains,miss 3stitches - all the way round.

Next Row in the Main colour (in this case Parchment) -
3 trebles over the 3 chain space,1 chain,3 trebles over next chain space,1 chain all the way round.

Next Row (Coloured wool) -
1double crochet in the chain space,3 chain stitches -all the way round.

Carry on the last two rows until the border is required depth.

Hope you can understand what I mean - BUT I COULD BE WRONG.
Patti.

I think you are right Patti, it looks like the last round could be picots
