Do You Know What It Is Yet (Spatula)

Post by Totally Scrambled »

With all this wet weather stopping me from getting on with jobs in the garden I have been creating jobs to do inside.
You may have seen my jam and chutney making exploits but I'd had enough domesticity and decided I would do some thing more manly )t'
Here's the start, a log freshly cut from my garden. Any Ideas?

Here's a bit of a clue. The tools I will be using.

No, due to my workshop being full of eldest's uni stuff and a brroder box full of chicks I do not have much space so I can only make small things.

Although the log is small and would make a good wooden leg for a vertically challenged pirate, that is not what it is.

Is it a totem pole for ants?

Or a marrow chutney holder?

No idea Dom, obviously judging by the array of tools it is not going to be firewood.

No. Too big fot little anties.

Have you been keeping track of my chutney making? I would need to whittle a whole tree to make a holder.

Depends whether I bog it up as to whether it ends up as firewood.

not much of a clue - my original suggestion was perhaps a scratching post for a cat

or maybe a mushroom log?

You're in the ball park as our colonial cousins would say.
Here's another couple of photos to help you.

I'm thinking a knife block. If wrong, hurry up and tell us!

Sorry it's not a knife block.
This picture of it on it's side should give the game away. Up to this point there is about 15 minutes work gone into it.
