I already have orders for another spoon and three spatulars from the ladies in my life not to mention a heavy hint from Helen.

With today having standard issue Bank Holiday weather I think today will be spatula day. I'll start by making a matching one for my prototype spoon.

You are a seriously talented man with wood. Everything that you make is first class and looks so impressive. What lucky ladies there are in your family.

Bet they'd snap if you tried mixing a cake and would dig into your hands while you were at it, whereas mine are ergonomically crafted for comfort and practicality.
Not to mention mine cost me sod all rather than the £39 he's charging
The spatula is nearly done, the time consuming bit has been getting it to match the handle shape & curve on it's matching spoon. I'm also going slowly on the blade bit so I don't get it too thin so it snaps but not too fat so it looks chunky.

I think the theory is that they are Welsh Love Spoons that you carve with devotion for your true love (I suppose a wife gets something more practical). Selling them is all wrong, but it was an illustration of the sort of thing.

As requested by my daughters I have now made them each a spatula to match their spoons.
Also as Ali was getting jealous I have made her a spoon all of her own.

I can't see the photos Dom - it just says 'image'. Is it just me?

They show up on my 'puter but I don't know if that's just because I posted them and no one else can see them or not.
Are you looking on your phone? Sometimes a phone makes you tell it you want to look at photos before it lets you.

My PC just has a symbol like a no entry sign.
Is it your privacy settings? Mind you that can work the other way too - people think they are sharing a picture of a new pet and we can click through to holiday snaps (and who knows what else)
I thought you would understand these things though.

Pushed the same combination of buttons I usually do to get photos on here and I can see them. Unless the place the photos are stored has changed something
The photos I posted previously have a much much shorter data string that the latest lot
I will keep fiddling.

I think I may have cracked the photo problem but it is no one hell of a roundabout route to get them on here
Hope it's worked this time
