Hi any views on a SONY A100 DSLR with lens and charges and spare bat and memory cards.
I think it is old but a good camera .
Not a expert .
Best way to use it at a fixed setting for starts.

If you are buying it 2nd hand Bob, just be aware that if modern cameras go wrong, they really cost a fortune to fix these days }hairout{ So a guarantee would be essential.

Other than that, sorry, I know nothing about Sony - bit of a Canon girl myself!

Yes second hand , no guarantee except SHMBO is going to explode . advised against , to tight to buy 600 pounds of camera. Shop up London repairs services them so hay ho .
Small camera is a Samsung WB30F -Fits the pocket so can be taken anywhere.
Cost of big one 84 pounds plus 12 pound postage
Small one is 34 plus 4 pounds postage.
Small one is good and taking pictures already
Boring River Thames vessels going by.
Refuse dump opposite.
Bob
Thanks for advise .
Good job not taken as no one would recycle on ebay.

Looks a decent enough camera Bob, it has all the features you'd expect of an entry level DSLR. What's the kit lens? There's one on amazon for £150 quid, and it's got great reviews. £84 looks a right bargain.

If you want, I can give you a crash course in photography and how to use it beyond auto settings when we meet - I'm a bit of an amateur photographer )t'
