Central heating from a wood burner-----AIRLOCKS!!!!

Post by cheeky chicken »

Mr Cheeky Chicken has just embarked on another project, after the chicken house and boy's tree house.

This is the central heating. Don't know much about it myself, some of you blokes might............

All loops and pipes connected correctly, but there is still alot of air in the system which is stopping the heat from transmitting to the radiators.
Any ideas for getting the air out? We have a header tank / expansion tank.

Any ideas then I can say I thought of them..

Ps He does know what he is doing but if anyone has any experience of pipes or plumbing- BONUS

All in aid of our economical next winter....hopefully

This may be of some help, the air oftern builds up at one rad in the system. Fire up the heating and let the rads warm up then feel each of them looking for one thats colder than the rest then try bleeding the system from that point.
