Life in a high rise

Post by Katt »

One of the benefits of living in a high rise, besides the stunning veiws, is the fact that the whole block acts like a giant ant heap.
Furniture and other household goods get moved down to the basement only to be looked over and taken back up to someone else's flat.

I gort rid of a ghastly modern chest of draws, when number two son moved into his own flat, the sort that looks good but is'nt great quality, only for them to have been re-cycled within the hour.

Later that eveniing I picked up a lovely, but old fashoned oak two draw set.
Result, I've just polished it and cleaned it up and it looks lovely.

I know this is an old thread, but what a good idea!

A communal place where you can take your unwanted usable items so other people can help themselves. Why haven't we got one in my street?
