Environmentally Friendly Bath CleaningI've been trying to ditch chemical cleaning products and make some things myself. However, being a bit short on time recently I bought some well known environmentally friendly bath cleaner. But for some reason it seems to stain my white bath yellow. I gave this away and noticed a different one on offer recently so bought that and the same thing happened. Does anyone know what ingredient may be in these products than I need to avoid? I really don't want to go back to bleach cleaner but I had to buy some to get rid of the yellow stains

Re: Environmentally Friendly Bath CleaningI think I have read on someone's thread or on the internet about using a mixture of white vinegar and sodium bicarbonate, but have not tried it. When my current cleaner runs out, I am filling the spray bottle with diluted bleach.
Re: Environmentally Friendly Bath CleaningMy bath cleaning is environmentally friendly. I do not buy any specialist cleaners. Before I get out of it I wipe all around the sides with my hands while still sitting in it. Get out and dry myself then as I am letting the water out I wipe round with a cloth. No cleaners needed and I use very little soap for washing myself.
If I leave the water in it for toilet flushing, I wipe around the sides with a cloth periodically while the level is going down. When there is not much left I wipe while letting the last bit down the plughole. No cleaners needed. Mind you, there is only me here, so no one else wanting to use the bath. My bath is only a few years old and does not get a lot of use (1 bath a week), so it still looks like new. Before you think I am a dirty (add your own word here), I wash every morning using the sink. When choosing cleaners it will depend on what your bath is made of, how old it is, whether the water is hard or soft, how many people use it and how often. I would never use bleach on a bath. Did you try the vinegar and bicarb? Cheap cola is good for cleaning toilets, maybe it will do baths as well. Ilona
Re: Environmentally Friendly Bath CleaningPutting a small amount of Bubble Bath in when you start running the tap avoids any water marks and makes it generally easier to clean.
