Waterless Urinals

Post by Richard »

I went into McDonalds the other day with Leo and noticed the Gentlemen's Toilets now have waterless urinals.

There's a sign above them saying they save 100,000 litres of water a year.

I reckon that's pretty good.

Although it may be fast / cheapish food, I must say they have some very good policies, ie Free Range, trace the food back etc. plus they give a lot of youngsters and oldens jobs.

What do you reckon ?

On waterless uriinals or their ethics?
Can't comment on the urinals.
But since the court case that they won, but really negative publicity, I think they have really tried. I am sure they could do better, but getting there.

I don't know how they work for goodness sake !!!!
Maybe just a big hole underneath, bit like the garden !

I'll look it up and find a link.

What is good is that these larger Chains have to show environmental awareness nowadays. some people do shop and eat ethically.

i was watching something a while back and one of the celebs said he ate a big mac everyone gasped in horror so he said if i had told you that last night i got wasted bindge drinking you would all laugh i think that says it all he was right i think everyone slates you for likeing mcdonalds but there are a lot lot more things that are worse

Well I am very disillusioned now - thought waterless meant they were flushing with their thick thick shakes!

Actually that's amazing but doesn't it smell?

I was surprised about the no smell and not having any of those horrible soap thingies in it.

On the clean floor issue - I always tell the Cricketers "You can throw a ball from 50 meters at the perfect weight, flight and speed, straight into the wicket keepers gloves without him moving. But come the Loo................."

we have these fandangle no flush urinals at work.......they are great no smell and save buckets of water.

the last ones done a 30second flush every 10 minuets weather it had been used or not..... it use to stink as at lunch everyoine uses the loo then it sits there smelling the place for 10min befor its flushed.

they have also redone the actual sit down loo's.... they use rainwater..... the roof is covered by dodgy reeds and plants that filters thru into a collecton tank, which fills the loos, it comes out a murky colour like its been used and not flushed. you also get an earthy smell.
Some friends are like a slinky, boring till you push them down the stairs.
