Battery Hen Car Stickers.

Post by wendy »

Hi Folks,
We have a draught of the kind of car sticker we would like. The design has been done by Richard.
When the final one is printed it will have Richards website at the bottom and mine at the top of the photograph. It will be 12" long.
Anyway, because there is a coloured photograph it makes the price a lot higher and we have managed to get a quote, which would make them £1.50 each including postage.
It would be cheaper to have a cartoon or a drawing. But we felt an actual photo has a better effect..
Before we embark on the venture, we need to know how many of you would like them and how many each of you want. As we have to buy a minimum amount and to get our money back we need to sell them.
WE NEED TO KNOW BY THE 23RD JANUARY 2008 at the latest.
So if you could pm me to let me know.
If you are not interested them it doesn't matter as it hasn't cost us anything yet.
Below is the car sticker but not in the completely finshed state.

Just to say a big thank you to Wendy and her husband Spencer for doing much leg work to get these 'on the road'.

I don't know how much those 'funny' car stickers cost to buy in shops, but this seems a very reasonable price to me.

I hope you will support our shared campaigning, especially Wendy and Spencer who spend every spare minute on rescue work for Battery Hen's, dogs and goodness knows what else!

Together, we CAN make a difference!'

I don't want to sound pompous - but can you remove the apostrophes in eggs and hens - they are not needed in plurals. If we are going to use these then we should have them correct so people don't criticise them for the wrong reasons. Sorry, but being an English teacher I just can't help it and would love to have some of these stickers!

Hope no one is offended......... :?

Hiya.
As said in the other post. If we can get the printers to change them we will. Does that mean if they are changed Al you will have some, but if not you won't. LOL
Sorry Anna the colours are the colours.
Thanks.

When I was a Retail Manager back in the 70's, I'd do the window dressing and always put one poster upside down.
Loads of people came in to tell us - then looked round!

But, back to topic.

I'll take 5 Wendy. One for my car, one for my bike, two Cricketers want one each and one for my daughter.

If and when you can go ahead, tell me - it's Paypal isn't it?

If you can change them then yes I will have three please - sorry but I am a bit OCD about things like punctuation - sad I know, but it would just bug me the whole time! I have printed out some posters from the Chicken Out site though and put those up wherever I can (including my classroom windows which open out onto the car park where all the parents wait at the end of the day) no one has told me to remove them yet.

How do I pay? Cheque would be best for me.

Next topic to debate in English class is battery chickens - the children are going to research it using this site, amongst others, and then try to write a balanced argument for and against. It should be interesting. As the song says, "I believe the children are the future........."

Hi Al,
You're allowed to be sometimes LOL
They will be changed.
Well done for getting th children to research it all. As I say it is the children that will alter things educate them and they won't let it happen.
A cheque will be fine.
If and when it all happens. I will pm all of you with my address and you can then post a cheque on with your address and we will be away.

Worth a thought, but people may not buy so many as they are a bit dearer. Then that defeats the aim.
