Here we go, lovely girls for your enjoyment
Baldies first, they've gone to a heated hen house as they'll be chilly otherwise
she looks smug in her bedroom doesn't she
These girls have gone to Northants.
Richard I'm having the same problems that Dave had, you shrink them down in photobucket & do a preview on DTL, some are big some are small, what are we doing wrong
I've just had these sent over to me from my sister, the top one is Linda the hen, she has a really badly deformed beak, but she is top chook in her group & does very well with what she has She is first out every morning & shoves all the others out of the way for her breakfast, she's very feisty
The other chookie I just wanted her, she's a love, look at her little toes all curled up, bless.
Me grizzling too. Bless their little cotton socks.
Little curly toes. Made my eyes water so am typing away now to look busy 'til I get my self sorted. (cough).
Don't be fooled into thinking they've eaten either with her crop all full like that, it was all just water, they'd been starved for 24 - 36 hours, this is how long that Lisa thought it to be
I tell you it makes me murderous, but what really makes me into a murderess is the fact that little Linda chicken not only has a wonky twisted beak, she's damn well been de-beaked aswell, oh god I'm going into one, best stop
wow what a rescue poor little girls, DEBEAKED???? these farmers need debeaking and worse!!!!!now the lovely girls will be spoilt with love not disfigurment the colonel sends them his best
One of mine (Lucy) has been debeaked and also has a slightly wonky beak. I hope it's not the de beaking that can cause them to go wonky, either the process or how they use them afterwards.
none were for me  I've still got just the 5 girlies, a friend of mine does the rescue & I take them to other people who ask for hens, so it's a good 2nd best helping other people discover the wonders of ex batts
