PLEASE RESCUE CHOOKS BRIGHTON SUSSEX JULY

Post by p.penn »

An aquaintance of my husband told us about these desperate chooks (she had rescued some of the 13,500 available). These chickens have been living free range but their egg shells are too thin for sale in supermarkets and so they are in need of URGENT rehoming. Anyone who can travel to Brighton, sussex
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LOOK AT THIS WEB PAGE for details:

http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=445921

( if link not working, put in 'chickens stanmer park' to search engine)

Tel no if interested 07704 221545 Pick up 14 july for several days.
Or contact brighton animal action:

http://www.brightonanimalaction.org/

THIS IS THEIR LAST CHANCE - THEY WILL BE SLAUGHTERED OTHERWISE  I feel awful that I got my chooks a couple of weeks ago but i couldn't find any in my area then.

I hope something works out for them and I can tell from my 'outward click' stats that some have gone to that link.

Thanks for posting the message. Good luck,

Richard

I also say goodluck with these hens, its sad that if you dont perform (means guys too!) your out and another statistic, thankgod for hugh & jamie's insight to the chicken life (or the lack of it), hopefully its makes us 'unawarebees' join the fight for better welfare, l cant help, but l wish you the best and can sympathise with you, x

Sadly we're only able to help 5 of these poor things - maybe next year once we're in our new home and I have more time to renovate the other coop, we could take in more chickens in need.

Stiggy,
If the whole of the Country had five each of battery hens. More would be saved.
But then if the whole of the Country didn't buy the eggs, we wouldn't need to save them. What a great thought.
Keep that in your mind and spread the word.

Good for you. Five little hens are going to have a life and a wonderful one at that, after the purgatory they have been through.
