Greeces' Battery Farms

Post by lynniepinnie »

I've just been sent a link to campaign for the battery hens in Greece who are still living in barren cages - hopefully it will work if anyone wants to sign the petition. I know things are far from perfect in the rest of Europe either but apparently Greece hasn't moved at all.

I have signed as well.
But to be honest Greece has, probably, the worse animal welfare/rights in the EU so I doubt anything will come of it. But we can but try.

For years we worked with/for a rescue in Corfu. The things that were done to dogs and cats, in a European Country, were appalling.

That's all we can do Wendy - it's taken years to get anywhere in the UK - and it's still got a long way to go but unless we protest things will probably get worse }hairout{

We may have laws in place for hens, aparently there are no legal welfare standards for ducks RSPCA campaign, here.
