Visually impaired hen needs home

Beau is a 18 month old chocolate Pekin bantam with a visual impairment(from birth) in her right eye. She has been happily free ranging with my girls for the last 4 months but all of a sudden they have started to really pick on her to the point of her finding refuge in the corner of my garden hidden under bushes. She has a lovely nature but is a bit of a scrag bag in appearance. Can anyone help?

Hi, I have pekins, currently only a single hen + 2 pullets, thus, would have loved to have re-homed this little one, but you're quite far from me.

FYI: have you seen post from kitla who is looking for a disabled hen to accompany a hen she has which is also visually impaired?

Thanks for your reply. I checked the distance between us and a 2 hour drive is a bit too far. I did check the post you suggested but I think she was up in Edinburgh??????

Hi newby2012, I'm the one with the blind hen. I live near Kettering, quite a way
from you but not impossible. Your little beau would have no bullying from Giblet
but my concern is if she would be happy to live mostly in a run after being
used to free ranging, Gibet's current run mate goes nuts if I leave her shut in the run all day, so poor Gibet spends a lot of time alone. Its a shame the others bully Beau, she must have a timid nature I have a one eyed brahma who gets on ok with the others, she's just a bit clumsy.
