hello all. im looking to give a home to some ex battery hens. i would like to get about six as they would be free in the garden. iv decided on ex bettery hens as i think they need a home more than one you just go and buy. all my animals have been rescue. we live in selsey west sussex so if anyone knows of any that need a good home please let me know. x x sam

You need to register with either the Battery Hen Welfare Trust or Hen Rehomers UK. You can find them by clicking the links below.

iv registered with them but they are fully booked. bhwt still have people waiting since feb. i will keep trying. x x

iv got some at last. a friend told me that she knew of two hens that needed a home as they were dumped at a local farm but they dont keep chickens so i collected them last night. ones a warren and the other a black rock. both lovely girls and not afraid of the dog or kids. :razz:

oh oh oh forgot to say im getting seven more in just over a week. its organised through wendy that im going to have her friends chooks that need homes. :razz: :razz:
