Is anyone here into bantam ornamentals? This certainly does not rule out laying. Breeds lay more reliably than hybrids, and usually for much longer. Also bantam eat less and egg to body size ratio is better. If anyone is thinking of or has already any breed bantams I have cockerels of sablepoot Sebright and sicilian buttercup free to good homes.

Some of these very beautiful cockerels are large enough to run with any hens and hens are happier if they have a Lord and Master. Also if you have quarrelsome hens a cockerel will break up fights prevent victimization and stabilize the flock.
