Just got this in my inbox.

'In case anyone missed the last post we are trying to find homes for around 40 chickens. They are due to be replaced with new stock in a few months so will be culled. They are mostly two years old with a couple of three year old.
They are good layers when not moulting as they are now and have a good three to five years left in them but for the farm they are not economically viable.
So far we have been able to home about twenty which is great but there are still plenty left facing the brown mile.
If you can take anything from one to nineteen that would be great, the farmer paid around £15 per bird when they were at point of lay and he only want's £3 per bird now.
I can deliver in Glastonbury / Wells on weekends or evenings.
Thanks for reading

unfortunately No.
This is the story of my life. I constantly get mails about dogs/hens needing imminent rescue etc: and pass on details. But never find any of the outcomes :?
