Good morning,Linda ,
Just a thank you and sorry again for the delay .
All home safe and clucking.
Settled in all ready eating, scratching aaround and telling the dog whose boss ( poor dog bullied by the cats and now the chickens...... )
Dont think there will be a blade of weed in the coop run by the time I get home tonikht.
I am surprised at there condition and wondered what the other birds were like.
(Saved me the best. )
Found them all sitting together om the floor of the coop by the stable doors this morning and soon came out eating corn and anything else they could peck. Plenty of water and oyster shells .
Keep you up dated as time goes on.
Thank you again .
8 more on the 28th June
Bob

Hi Linda ,
Just got back from home (at work now )
If chickens lay eggs when they are happy , then my chicks must be very happy as 5 fresh eggs laid today. More treats all round .
Dog got in the coop behind me and did not even bark . So maybe a free range flock someday.
straw and sawdust / shavings in the van for somemore nesting material , you are right they are trying to make nests but would not win aprise for it yet.
as for the coop grass -gone . next job to egg laying for them to clear some ground that is over grown.
I can not thank you enough for pleasure they are giving me.
Bob

Hi Linda ,it is me again
Chickens very well and had 4 eggs today.
There are no trouble and the rest of the household animals are watching with interest to see what they are eating.
Dog ( large one ) is wandering around in the coop and can not understand why she cannot stay with me in there.
Pair are still together and the other three seem to be getting on well.
Wondering what they will think and do when the last of the flock of 8 from Freshstart come on the 28th.
Send you more in a while .
Thanks agin.
Bob
