The Mill

Post by jemberelli »

For anyone that enjoyed the first series of this, it starts again on Sunday 20th July, Channel 4 (at 9pm I think). I am looking forward to it, really enjoyed the first lot. Just need The Village to start again now!

Can I quote you when I eventually get moved in to my new place (it's in the most miserable, inbred village I've ever seen {rofwl} )?

Never saw The Village. Is it set at about the same date as The Mill by any chance?

The first series was set around 1914. I only watched the first episode, thought it would be depressing.

I didn't watch the first series of the Mill as I thought it was along similar lines to the Village which I really tried with but found it far too depressing. I much prefer to watch something upbeat. I notice Sister Bernadette form Call the Midwife is in the new series of the Mill. Might give it a go....

I think The Mill this series isn't so dark with a bit more humour than the last series. We've also been to Quarry Bank Mill where it's filmed so that makes it more interesting. Really couldn't get into The Village last series though, it was far too depressing >dum<
