Watching Home Fires.

Post by albertajune »

I am really enjoying the new series Home Fires which is shown on ITV on Sunday evening. It is about a group of women who belong to the Womens Institute during the second world war. Lovely acting and an insight into the role of women when their menfolk went off to the front.
One worth watching. )t'

I'll catch up on that, love dramas set around those times.

We're really enjoying Home Fires to. I love things set during the war but I think I have a more romantic view of the time rather than how it actually was!! Home Fires was filmed close to where we live in Cheshire so it's nice to recognise some of the cottages and views being used.
