Guide dog programme

Post by p.penn »

Oh, has anyone else been watching this? I saw my first one today and have nothing but admiration for the people who have the pups for the first year. Although it was clear that they were all, without exception, completely devastated when their pups had to move on, they were also so proud of their beautiful trained guide dogs when they saw them.

One dear lady who was crying so much when she was parted from her pup, and again when she met him with his new owner, readily agreed to take on another trainee. {hug}

My goodness, what fantastic people. Not sure I could do it.

Not seen any of the programme, I think it clashed with something else I wanted to watch, hopefully it will be repeated.

)like( The fosterers really are wonderful and like you I would get too attached to the pups and dogs to ever let them go.
We don't hear enough generally of people who foster animals, who give such a valuable service.
I am now a widow and live with my memories.
