I knew about his passion for Model Railways but I read in most of the Nationals this week that he books an extra room at Hotel's he stays in to take his Mobile Train Set with him !!

Personally I don't have a problem with it. Some 'Stars' will book an extra Hotel room just to put their egos in.

He seems a nice bloke (now !!!!).

My daughter's booked up to his Concert in Southampton next year.
Strange, he had his first No.1 five years before she was born !! (and I was 23)

If he has time hanging about what a relaxing way to use it.

The life of a touring musician must be lonely and divorced from reality. Good for him, taking a bit of 'home' with him.
I am amazed how far Folk musicians, bands, and caller travel. My limit is 50 miles (ish - alright twist my arm) and I find the journey home at gone midnight the 'work', the gig is fun.

Quite right Mo. Fair enough they, or some, earn stacks of money but having read quite a few books about Musicians, it does seem quite an unusual and often lonely existence.

Also, Rod Steward is not like some who think they were placed on this Planet to put the world to right.
Some of them really get on my wick !
