Reading out loud

Post by fabindia »

Of course, when the kids were little, I used to read to them every night and as a result never had any problems settling them down for bed. Over the years, I must have read hundreds of books to my four kids.

But Wendy and I still have a reading out loud book, though I must admit it is always me that does the reading not Wendy.

We have just finished 'A Long Way Home' (now made into a film called Lion), which is about a little boy who gets hopelessly lost in India and attempts to find his family some 25 years later. A very emotional read, especially as it is in fact a true story.

This week we started 'A Boy Made of Blocks' a fictional book about a family trying to cope with an autistic child.
