The write up looked interesting, and I managed to stay awake throughout the film. It was so different, and amazing. Did anyone else watch it? I intended also watching Selma last night, but slept most of the way through. OH said it was worth watching.

I read the book too and then saw the film a few years back. I thought it was a great story - without giving too much away - the German mother seems really cold and strict but turns out to have a heart of gold. It shows that even during the darkest days of Nazi Germany, there were really good, moral people.
