Home Farmer

Post by Speckledhen »

Not sure if this quite the right place to post this but anyway here goes.

Received a sample issue of a new magazine through the post yesterday called Home Farmer. It looks really good with the topics covered including a recipe for soda bread, henkeeping, vegetable growing and renewable energy.

Here's a link to their website www.homefarmer.co.uk

Interesting and thanks. I used to promote 'The Home Farm' image, but have calmed it down a bit.
This was inspired by Paul Heiney's Book, 'Home Farm' where he describes various size gardens and what you can do with them.

Just found it on Amazon - bit pricey now, obviously valuable (I'm rich, I'm rich, I've got a copy!!!!).

Richard

What stuff does the book cover? everything and anything involved in small scale farming? Do you know of any other good books covering this topic?

Thanks

To be honest, only about 25% of the book referred to my situation, but I learnt a lot about 'other things' and he seems on a similar wavelength to me on certain things.

It's extremely well illustrated (DK).

I guess it's the same as 'Complete Self Sufficiency', you take from it the bits you want to take from it.

For those unaware, Paul Heiney was a Presenter on 'That's Life' way back when.
