Preserving Jars

Post by OldForum »

Hello All
Anyone know where I can get REAL Kilner style jars at an affordable price? Kilner jars are the ones with a 2 piece lid not the clip closure type. I get all excited when I do a google search for Kilner jars in the UK and then I open the page and there are all the clip type!
A few years ago I ordered 12 Mason jars online from Kitchensetc, a US based company that would ship overseas. Whoever packed my order obviously didn't realise just how much it would cost to send to our fair shores and I paid 3.95 for all 12 jars and postage!!! My biggest bargain of all time!

A shop called THE RANGE sells both the kilner and the le parfait ones but they may just be a northern chain
