urgent request from a journalist

Post by IanJ »

Hi,

I'm a freelance reporter working on a story about living a more frugal lifestyle, consuming less and how to do it. I was hoping to speak to the organiser of Down the Lane if possible.

Apologies for the short notice but I'd need to do it today.

Yours,

Ian Johnston

It's for an article for Independant on Sunday this weekend, presuming I'm used.
Had a 30 minute chat, lots of questions.

Phoning back a bit later, so will fill you in.

Pretty soon you'll be too big and famous to chat with the hoy-paloy and riff-raff; us lowly scum will be but an embarresment from your past...red carpets, oscar ceremonies etc, the world is yet your oyster. anyway let us know if you're being used or not, might be worth a read... ^b:

Well I don't think of us forumers as 'lowly scum' but I hope you remember your humble beginnings when you're living the high life Richard (f+

Obviously I wasn’t referring to you, or any of the other top folk that I encounter on my near daily foray into the world of DTL. I do however fell truly low in comparison to the mighty Richard, to whom I shall forever see myself as mere chicken droppings in the compost bin of his greatness. )b(

Hi All

I was once asked to appear on under the hammer to give a valuation on a property. no pay but thought I might get some publicity out of it. Lots of saw you on telly, but no business resulted from it. It now gets repaeted about every three weeks from what I gather and i think of all the royalties the presenter gets for my work and expertise.

I may be wrong. But, i think, presenters do not get repeat royalties, just the one off.
Only the 'stars' do.
